Can someone explain to a web3 layman how Martin came across this porn torrent? Did someone send this to him? Was he, despite being rich and the year being 2022, pirating pornography? was this a phishing scam where Martin was torrenting something innocuous?
Yes, I can embarrassingly but truthfully tell you that I was surfing for this myself. The file in question was a .scr file - a screensaver! - I thought it was some new media type. I wouldn't have opened a .exe. It was late. I am embarrassed. But there is a huge line between admitting you did something stupid (with somewhat small impact, for what it's worth) and then being accused of robbing people. The latter is malicious and inexcusable without proof.
It does seem absurd that you would risk your reputation for such a trivial amount of money. I think people over the past few years have become jaded as influencers capitalize on their parasocial relationships and milk their fans for all they’re worth. A central part of modern internet culture is malicious unfounded accusations.
Hello, I might be a dumbass for asking but I've been following you for a while and I've seen your analysis on multiple stocks and I was wondering, where I can see what you're currently shorting or buying? The excel on your Github is helpful but I can't make heads or tales out of it and don't understand what I'm actually seeing in the Excel. Thank you in Advance.
The peanut gallery strikes again, manifesting itself in the writer vs do-er mindset. Why create, or even attempt to create something when it's easier to write opinion posts about how terrible you are? ignore the noise shkreli, the analysis you publish is a master class worth more than the salary of these corporate cogs. ps - the tweet space you did w/ the VC pitch was epic. I hope it was saved!
Nice post, good to have a nice update all in one place. Saw a funny clip of you selling out of $RBLX due to a silly bug, made me smile - loving the new YouTube approach. More serious Q though, are you bearish now? I still think Roblox has a lot of potential upside, especially when in-game ads feature is finally launched (later this year apparently). Roblox is filled with many horrendously & somewhat hilarious awful games, but on the other end there are some really crazy things being developed by hobbyists & in some cases even young teens! If the "metaverse" is going to be a thing, I think Roblox is already way ahead with something actually tangible & used by millions. Anyway, I'll stop rambling.. I would love to see your model on RBLX, sadly not on your GitHub atm.
I have been reading Levine for a long time, and he does do a good job of explaining complicated financial concepts in an easy to understand manner. But he is also a bit of a clown sometimes, trying to entertain people.
Didn't know your competition ended already, thought it was for 2 months. Congrats on winning, I think you ended up in the low 50's and he was in the low 40's last check. I was tempted to join, but summer is a tough time to trade
Edit: Agree "APE" is doomed, they built out an options chain on it Thursday but it's still not tradable on TD's Think or Swim. Any guess on when that will change, I'd like to short it
I thought he lost half his money. The competition ended early because I'd rather not deal with the sponsor. It would be fun to make a trading competition generally.
It's sad that our society today prioritizes narratives over actual due diligence. These writers (I actually read Matt Levine) should have done proper research before putting on attacks.

He did and then made a lucky recovery with TSLA puts. But yeah I don't blame you, maybe something better can be worked out someday
